PMDC is committed to the health and safety of all of our dancers and faculty.  For the 2021 season we will be implementing the following policies and procedures in order to minimize the risk to our dance community.  We thank you for your cooperation as we embark on a new season during this challenging time.  We are confident that together we will have a successful and exciting year of dance!

*These policies may change to stay in accordance with recommended health guidelines

Vaccinated Dancers:

Exposure outside the household:

  • Students may remain in class and without a mask, as long as they are asymptomatic.

Exposure inside the household:

  • Students may remain in class without a mask providing they receive a negative rapid test and have no symptoms.

Unvaccinated Dancers:

Exposure outside the household:

  • Students must wear a mask for 5 days, but can remain in class.

  • If the student experiences any symptoms, they must remain at home and can zoom into class.

  • If the dancer has a performance in the 5 day time frame, they must have a negative rapid test the day of the performance in order to remove their mask on stage.

Exposure inside the household:

  • Students must quarantine away from the studio for 5 days.

  • If the dancer has a performance in the 5 day time frame, they must have a negative rapid test the day of the performance and must wear their mask on stage.

Vaccination definition:

At this time, PMDC is defining “vaccinated” as a student who has received their 2 shot course of the vaccine. We are not currently requiring boosters to be considered fully vaccinated.

Positive cases in a PMDC Student:

  • Dancer must isolate from PMDC and all events for 5 days from their positive test. They may return to the studio on day 6, but must wear a mask (on stage or in class) days 6-10.

We thank all of you for your support as we continue to navigate these uncharted territories. It takes a village of caring, committed people to keep these dancers doing what they love. With that in mind, we are all putting faith in each other to follow the rules and keep the PMDC community a healthy place!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
