COMPANY AUDITIONS

Auditions are separated by dance style and age.

In order to be considered for company, auditions are mandatory.

If there is a serious conflict, the studio will consider private auditions. For more information please email info@puremovementnj.com.

​Dancers Ages 10&up auditioning for Movement Dance Company will receive a combination via video that they must learn and be prepared to present at the audition.
-
Dancers will be evaluated on technique, flexibility, skills and phrasework

Movement Dance Company

Tuesday June 6th, 2023
5-7yrs: 4:30-5:30pm
8-9 yrs: 5:45-6:45pm
10-11 yrs: 7:00-8:00pm
Thursday June 8th, 2023
12-14 yrs: 5:45-7:00pm​
15 & up: 7:30-8:45pm

Movement Dance Company auditionees should wear a black leotard, shorts and jazz shoes (PMDC blue dress is fine for K & 1st grade aged dancers).
Tap Company

Thursday June 8th, 2023
7-10 yrs: 4:15-4:45pm
11 yrs & Up: 5:00-5:30pm
​
Tap auditionees should wear black leotard, black shorts and tap shoes.

Hip Hop Company
​
Tuesday June 6th, 2023
11yrs & Up: 8:30-9:15
​
Hip Hop auditionees should wear black leggings/sweatpants, black tank top and hip hop shoes/sneakers.
Modern Company
Invitation Only
Dancers interested in this program are required to be a member of Movement Dance Company and should indicate their interest on the audition form. Dancers selected for these programs will be notified of their acceptance.
